Holli Richey is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, herbalist, and wellness consultant who utilizes EMDR, mindfulness, botanical medicine, nature walks, and education for holistic healing.
Holli completed formal studies in medicinal herbs at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute), graduating with a Masters of Science in Herbal Medicine. She furthered her education in stress-related conditions at The University of Georgia as a Clinical Social Worker. Holli approaches therapy from an ecological perspective, employing herbs, psychotherapy, and stress management/mindfulness practices to address anxiety, depression, chronic illness, pain, and trauma.
She has undergone intensive training in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy with Zindel Segal, PhD, and Susan Woods LCSW at Omega Institute, as well as the 9-month Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy Program through Harvard Medical School, Cambridge Health Alliance and Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. Holli is a graduate of the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program led by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Her meditation practice began in 2000, and she has studied Buddhist psychology and contemplative philosophy for over 20 years.
Holli is proficient in working with Complex Traumatic Stress Disorder and dissociative disorders, having received additional training in Advanced EMDR with Dolores Mosquera and Kathy Steele, Interpersonal Neurobiology with Dan Siegel, AEDP, Schema Therapy, and IFS. She is affiliated with the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation and the American Herbalist Guild.
Holli has taught courses on mind-body social work and herbal medicine throughout the eastern United States.
