Holli Richey is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, herbalist and wellness consultant whose toolbag includes EMDR, mindfulness, botanical medicine, nature walks & education for healing inside and out.
Holli’s formal studies in the therapeutic use of medicinal herbs were at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) where Holli graduated with a Masters of Science in Herbal Medicine. Holli continued her studies of working with conditions of stress at The University of Georgia as a Clinical Social Worker. She works from an ecological view of the whole person, utilizing herbs, psychotherapy and stress management/mindfulness practices to heal anxiety, depression, chronic illness, pain and trauma.
Holli continued her intensive training in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy with Zindel Segal, PhD and Susan Woods LCSW at Omega Institute, with Ron Siegel, PsyD from Harvard Medical School, and is a graduate of the two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Holli’s meditation practice started in 2000, and she has been studying Buddhist psychology and contemplative philosophy for over 20 years.
Holli is skilled in working with Complex Traumatic Stress Disorder and dissociative disorders. Effective modalities in which Holli has received additional training are Advanced EMDR with Dolores Mosquera and Kathy Steele, Interpersonal Neurobiology with Dan Siegel, AEDP, Schema Therapy and IFS. Holli is a member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation and the American Herbalist Guild.
Holli has taught classes in mind-body social work and herbal medicine throughout the eastern U.S..
